Rhett Butler co-founded BATFN in 2009 with Holly Gibbs.
Rhett is also the founder and CEO of Mongabay, a non-profit conservation and environmental science news platform that publishes original content in English, Spanish, and Indonesian. He has done extensive work on tropical forests and traveled widely. He also runs Wildmadagascar.org, a site that highlights the cultural and biological diversity of Madagascar.
